What's the difference? SATURATION! The top picture is a lip blush. You can see the translucency in the color. This heals looking like a perfectly natural lip you were born with, or a sheer lip stain depending on the color we choose. The bottom is permanent lipstick. The color is much more packed in, giving us a creamy, rich appearance.

A red can be a lip blush, and a soft pink or maybe can be a lipstick, so it's not about our color choice, it's about the application technique to achieve the desired end result.

Clients often come in dating they want a Blush because they want it natural, but what they really mean is they want a lip lipstick saturation of a more nice or mauve-y look. Natural TONES, in a creamy full coverage. My job is help you figure out how to get you to your desired end result. That means we're going to talk a bunch before we get started tattooing you. ...

This client has had a lashline enhancement by me, but her lashes are so full and blonde (they're tinted here! ) that it wasn't a impactful as we wanted, so we bumped it up to a gorgeous soft Classic Liner. I love what this does for her eyes!! (Also, those are 18 month healed Powder Brows. She wanted then touched up, but they still look so good, after talking, we decided to wait longer before putting more ink in there. We need more fading to happen so that we can keep them soft, natural, and not risk over saturation ...

"I'm so nervous" we hear it all the time. And we totally get it. It's a tattoo on your face. This SHOULD be a big decision for you. You should reaserch your shop, your artist, the style you want.

And once you're there your artist SHOULD be having a lot of conversation with you about style, color, makeup routines, all kinds of things to ensure you get exactly what you want. You should see predraws and colors before you start getting tattooed.

We always prepare our clients for what might happen during their lip blush appointment, but most commonly we see excess redness/warmth and swelling. Both are completely natural, and EXPECTED. Tattooing lips, while safe and sanitary, is TRAUMA to the lips. They're doing their job, and the reaction is very temporary. Most of our clients are no longer excessively warm by the next day, and the swelling (while some really enjoy the temporary "lip filter"), is almost completely gone, and lips are well on their way to healing beautifully 😊 No fear for getting the lips of your dreams ☁️👄🌛☁️
