      • If you have ever gotten a cold sore, please start taking antivirals 2 days before your appointment. Take a 5 or 7 day course, according to your doctors instructions
      • Lips skin must be healthy and hydrated. Starting one week before your appointment, regularly wear a hydrating lip balm and drink plenty of water. Ink will not retain will in dry skin and additional sessions at an additional cost may be required.
      • Stop any long wear lipsticks 2 weeks before your appointment.
      • Lip piercings must be well healed before your session. Jewelry that is very near or around the lips will need to be removed for tattooing.

Keep Lips hydrated. Apply provided After Care 4-6 times a day to keep lips moist and after cleansing. Use provided aftercare for the first 10 days minimum, as lips heal.

Clease lips morning and night with provided cleanser, and after eatting or drinking anything other than water

Wear SPF once healed.

Brush teeth with childrens toothpaste, or just water for the first 1-3 days (minty could sting!)

DO NOT PICK!!! Allow flaking to naturally come off, picking could lead to scarring/poor color retention because it pulls the color out of your skin and can cause scarring.

Don’t apply any product other than the provided aftercare for at least 5-7 days.

Don’t work out, swim, or sweat excessively for the first 10 days.

Avoid taking large bites of food that stretch your mouth excessively until all flaking is done

Avoid spicy food for up to the first week as it could sting your lips.

What to Expect

Mild swelling, itching, redness, light scabbing, light bruising, and dry tightness can be normal. Ice packs are a nice relief (wrapped in a moist, clean,
lint free towel) and aftercare balm can relieve itching and tightness

Once flaking has happened, pigment can appear to have all faded off. This is due to the buildup of collagen under your skin while your tissues heal. Don’t
worry! Your color will come back as your body reabsorbs the collagen.
